[Sample] Religious Exemption Vaccination Letter for School

A COVID-19 immunization is becoming mandatory for enrollment at US schools and universities as well as for employment with some businesses.

Religious exemptions do not need the approval or support of an official clergy member or other recognized religious leader, but medical exemptions need to be accompanied by a letter from a medical practitioner.

Rather, the applicant must explain how their "sincerely held religious beliefs" prohibit them from complying with the university's, school's, or employer's vaccine requirement.

If you are asking for an exception, some companies and colleges may provide you a unique form to complete.

At other times, your own letter must be sent in. In any case, this form might serve as a broad reference to assist you in formulating and customizing your own request for a religious exemption.

How to write a religious exemption letter for the school?

Tips to write religious exemption letter for covid vaccine
Please be aware that your request shouldn't just copy and paste a ready-made template from the internet.
  • Religious exemptions must be specific to your own religious experience and beliefs; you must tailor the form to your particular circumstances for it to be effective.
  • A religious exemption request must be related to religion. It has nothing to do with one's moral or philosophical convictions, health-related justifications for refusing the vaccine, or legal challenges to vaccination laws.
  • Please do not combine your request for a religious exemption with any other concerns you may have about receiving these vaccinations.
  • Belonging to any religion at all or to an established religion is not required by law. Even if it's not necessary, DO IT if you can get a letter from a cleric attesting to your sincerity and/or your commitment to your religion, and attach it to your own letter.
  • It is OK for you to interpret the word of God in a way that is unique to you and has to do with declining vaccinations. Put another way, if you really feel that a certain religious value corresponds to rejecting vaccinations in your interpretation of God's word, then that view qualifies as a legal waiver.
  • The majority of faiths do not formally support vaccinations. This gives the worker or student in college even more flexibility. Since the rule is so wide, it is easy for an employee or student to honestly comply with the law. But keep in mind that your assertion must always go back to a religious conviction.

Re: Religious Exemption

To Whom It May Concern:

I, as the parents/legal guardians of Mary Paul, and Harley Paul object to the immunization requirements set forth by the Department of Health of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as defined in 28 PA. CODE CH.23.

We do so on the grounds that we hold strong moral and ethical convictions and adhere to our religious beliefs, as detailed in section § 23.84 Exemption from immunization.

As required by Pennsylvania law, this notification acts as our written opposition.

Sincerely,

Re: Religious Exemption

To Whom It May Concern:

I would want to make use of my right to religious exemption under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Among other reasons, I oppose the COVID-19 vaccination mandate because I am an Evangelical Christian. I shall just cover the religious side of this topic.

I am well aware of the process that went into creating these immunizations (many thanks to the efforts of public health advocates and medical experts who dug deep into the COVID-19 vaccine trial).

Fetal cell lines that were obtained in a lab many years ago were used in the development and testing of the PFIZER and Moderna vaccines. Additionally, the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine was created using aborted fetal cells.

I acknowledge that the vaccine could or might not include aborted fetal cells, but vaccines that use them in their development, testing, or manufacture show a lack of holiness and Christian principles.

The foundation of all divine purposes is the sanctity of life. When aborted human life is exploited for scientific investigation at an early age, it violates my religion, values, and biblical principles.

A man's religion is very personal and ought not to be discussed. My religious convictions are also incompatible with other medical treatments, such as blood transfusions, acupuncture, and any other medical technique or medicine generated from immoral techniques.

I thus beg that you grant me an exemption from the vaccination obligation, and I really hope that you will give my request careful consideration.

Sincerely,
